2.25.07 GOP Gov. Rick Perry of Texas said Sunday, dismissing speculation he might be interested in serving as a running mate to the eventual nominee. Pennsylvania Gov. Edward G. Rendell, a Democrat, also denied any interest in the No. 2 spot. "I like to be my own boss," Rendell said at the National Governor's Association annual meeting.

Mark R. Warner - The former Virginia governor unexpectedly announced on October 13, 2006 that he will not seek the Democratic nomination for president in 2008, citing the personal toll a run for the White House would have on his family.
